Lunch & Learn with Rabbi Feld
Wednesdays at 12 pm on ZOOM Everything you wanted to know about Talmud (but were afraid to ask). For over a thousand years, the Talmud has been the source for many of our laws, but also of our stories about who we are. In this course, we’ll learn how to follow Talmudic arguments, rabbinic jargon, and the ins and outs of this core Jewish text. Note: We will use English translations of all sources; no Hebrew or Aramaic knowledge required. Click here to sign up
Erev Tisha B'av
On Tisha B’Av, we mourn the many tragedies that have befallen the Jewish people on this date, including the destruction of both Temples and the expulsion of Spanish Jewry. Join us at Temple Shalom of the Blue Hills on Monday, Aug 12, at 7:45 pm, for a special Tisha B’Av service and a reading from the Book of Eicha. Since the service is traditionally conducted in dim light, please bring a flashlight so you can follow along.
Installation of
Rabbi Lisa Batya Feld
Please join B'nai Tikvah for the installation of Rabbi Lisa Batya Feld on Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21.
Registration is required to attend the event, and there also will be a program book. The cost for dinner is $18 for one person, $36 for two people and $54 for three or more people. Learn more about the event/program book and register now.
