Erev Tisha B'av
On Tisha B’Av, we mourn the many tragedies that have befallen the Jewish people on this date, including the destruction of both Temples and the expulsion of Spanish Jewry.
Join us at Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills, 18 Shoolman Way, Milton on Monday, Aug 12, at 7:45 pm, for a special Tisha B’Av service and a reading from the Book of Eicha. Since the service is traditionally conducted in dim light, please bring a flashlight so you can follow along.
Installation of
Rabbi Lisa Batya Feld
Please join B'nai Tikvah for the installation of Rabbi Lisa Batya Feld on Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21.
Registration is required to attend the event, and there also will be a program book. The cost for dinner is $18 for one person, $36 for two people and $54 for three or more people. Learn more about the event/program book and register now.

Dor l'Dor tutor
Help Our Religious School Thrive! At the heart of B'nai Tikvah's innovative Religious School curriculum is the Dor L'Dor program, which gives our students the opportunity to work on their Hebrew reading and prayer skills one-on-one with community members. If you are free on Tuesday afternoons between 4:15 and 5pm, consider joining our fabulous squad of volunteer tutors! ContactNoah by email for further details.
Social Justice / Social Action
IT TAKES SO LITTLE TO MEAN A LOT
There are so many ways our B'nai Tikvah community can help make the world a better place. Did you know there is a bin in the coat room where you can drop off used eyeglasses, hearing aids, and cell phones? These get refurbished and distributed to those in need.
We can help with food insecurity by picking an extra box of kosher, unsweetened cereal or a can of (preferably low salt) soup and drop it in the marked bin in the lobby. This supports Family Table which is sponsored by Jewish Family and Childrens' Services.
And then there is our special programming. Watch for information on our Jewish Jeopardy event. This will be held in November. And there is a lot more to come!
