Our Clergy
Rabbi Lisa Feld
Rabbi Lisa Feld has served B’nai Tikvah since 2021, first as a rabbinic intern, now as our rabbi. She was ordained by Hebrew College in 2023, and also holds a Master of Jewish Studies from Hebrew College and a Master of Fine Arts from Colorado State University, as well as a BA in Medieval Studies from Bard College. She has served as a chaplaincy intern at both Massachusetts General Hospital and Hebrew Senior Life, accompanying people through challenging experiences (and occasionally joyful ones as well!)
Before rabbinical school, Rabbi Feld worked as a writer and editor for the Rabbinical Assembly, Oxford University Press, and the Jewish Women’s Archive (JWA). A passionate storyteller, Rabbi Feld has taught midrash writing as a spiritual practice in several communities in the Boston area, and uses the tools of crafting poetry and fiction to help others forge deeper connections with prayer and with Jewish texts. She is currently at work on several novels, including one about Moses, Miriam and Aaron.
Outside of work and her writing, she loves biking, kayaking, walking in nature, and making crafts projects (including several hand-sewn tallitot).
Rabbi Feld looks forward to developing her relationships with the B’nai Tikvah community, and encourages you to be in contact to make a time to meet over coffee, at your home, or at the synagogue.
Nikki Golomb, Rabbinic Intern
Nikki is entering her fourth year of rabbinical school at Hebrew College, and is thrilled to be serving as Rabbinic Intern at B'nai Tikvah this year! She has previous experience working as a hospital chaplain intern, as the Jewish Education Specialist at UC San Diego Hillel, and as an artist. She received her BA in International Relations at the University of Delaware. Nikki recently returned from studying for the year at Pardes in Jerusalem, and is excited to bring her learning from Israel back to the States.
Nikki is passionate about making Jewish education accessible to everyone, particularly those who historically have not had access. She loves engaging in Jewish learning through a lens of ancient context and modern values. A self-described grammar nerd, Nikki also enjoys diving deep into the words, syntax, and structure of Jewish texts.
When not engaged in Jewish learning, you can find Nikki doing embroidery, painting, or exploring local coffee shops. She would love to talk to you about the best gluten-free challah recipes, Jewish art, and the most recent season of Doctor Who.

A committed activist and top leader of the Masorti/Conservative Movement in Israel and around the world, Co-Chairwoman of MERCAZ Olami, Emily Levy-Shochat, joins us for a conversation about how our voices as American Jews can help protect Israel’s future as a Jewish and democratic state, while also strengthening the Jewish people and pluralism worldwide. Overall, Emily will speak about the situation in Israel, the challenges facing Israeli society since October 7th and explain why the Zionist Congress is such a powerful tool, the only tangible democratic tool Diaspora Jews have. As the former long-time Chairwoman of the Masorti Movement in Israel, the former Vice Chairwoman of KKL/JNF and Chairwoman of its Environment and Science Committee (dealing particularly with combating climate change in Israel), and a member of the board at the Association of Ethiopian Jews in Israel, Emily can speak so passionately and knowledgably about the national institutions of the Jewish people – WZO, the Jewish Agency, and KKL/JNF – and why these democratic institutions (that is, voting in elections for the World Zionist Congress) that belong to Jews around the world are so crucial for the future not only of Masorti Judaism in Israel, but for Conservative/Masorti Judaism and its values around the world as well as the future of Israel, Israeli society, and the Jewish people as a whole. A light dinner will be served. -

In this six-week course, we will examine six women who lived in the time of the Talmud, whom the rabbis labeled as a shrew, a primadonna, a black widow, and so on. But was that all that they were? Was that all the rabbis thought of them? Or is there more to the story, hidden in the margins? Based on the acclaimed work of scholar GIla Fine, we will uncover the secret lives of these six remarkable women. -
