Social Action: Guest Speaker Gilad Skolnik from Leket Israel, the National Food Bank, will be speaking at B’nai Tikvah. Leket has been rescuing excess fresh, nutritious food for more than 20 years. Each day, Leket Israel collects surplus healthy food, fruit and vegetables from farmers and cooked meals from hotels, corporate cafeterias and IDF army bases and distributes it through a network of nonprofit organizations feeding Israelis in need throughout the country. Skolnik will be speaking about Leket in general and the emergency relief initiatives that have been implemented as a result of October 7 terrorist attacks.
