Volunteering at B'nai Tikvah

We all have important roles in the life of B’nai Tikvah. A favorite Torah teaching comes from the long instructions of the sacrificial offerings that the Israelites were to bring to the High Priests – oxen, sheep, goats, turtledoves, pigeons, wheat or barley flour, olive oil and frankincense. Whether atoning for sins through, or expressing gratitude, our ancestors were all able to participate in these sacrifices, regardless of wealth or status. If sacrificing your only ox meant your family would lose its livelihood, you could still participate fully with what you could contribute – even three tablespoons of flour. What this means today is that each of us can play a role – and every role is valuable.

So how can you participate in B’nai Tikvah? Volunteers are vital – from officers, Board and committee members and leaders, tutors in our Religious School, Jewish Family Table helpers, minyan and Shabbat and holiday service leaders, to kitchen crew and so much more.

Whatever your skills, whatever your available time, please join in with what you can offer. Please complete this Count Me In form and return it to the office to let us know how you’d like to help our congregation.

Find your way to help B’nai Tikvah, and you may find that you’re helping yourself.
